<div><strong>JOB SUMMARY: </strong><br> The Operations Support Specialist supports production, engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing customer orders, maintaining manufacturing accuracy, and assisting with operational process improvements. <br> <br>The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and communicates effectively across departments including Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering. <br><br></div><div>This position offers an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to develop knowledge in manufacturing operations, material optimization, production scheduling, and Lean Manufacturing principles. </div><div><br><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: <br>Order Production Support: </strong></div><ul><li>Review manufacturing work orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards. </li><li>Verify bills of materials (BOMs), routing information, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. </li><li>Coordinate with Order Entry, Customer Service, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve discrepancies or missing information. </li><li>Monitor order status and assist in prioritizing urgent or high-impact sales orders. </li><li>Maintain accurate records within ERP/MRP systems and update documentation as required. </li><li>Support production teams by troubleshooting operational or engineering-related issues.</li></ul><div><br><strong>Manufacturing & Process Improvement: </strong></div><ul><li>Learn and support material optimization processes and associated CNC programming systems. </li><li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization. </li><li>Support Lean Manufacturing activities and assist in identifying opportunities to improve workflow and productivity. </li><li>Assist with production scheduling and operational planning activities as required. </li><li>Support quality assurance efforts by ensuring manufacturing documentation meets company standards and procedures. </li><li>Assist with reporting, data analysis, and operational performance tracking. </li></ul><div><br><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration: </strong></div><ul><li>Communicate production issues, delays, or process changes to appropriate stakeholders. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational objectives and business improvement initiatives. </li><li>Contribute to maintaining a positive, team-oriented, and safety-focused work environment.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul><div><br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: </strong></div><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. </li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. </li><li>Experience with ERP/MRP systems is considered an asset. </li><li>Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles is an asset.</li></ul><div><br><strong>COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: </strong></div><ul><li>Entry - Level Salary Range: $42,000.00 - $49,000.00 CAD Annually (commensurate with experience).</li><li>Extended health, dental, and vision benefits.</li><li>Group RRSP with employer matching.</li><li>Paid vacation, sick leave, bereavement days, and personal days.</li><li>Training and career development opportunities. </li></ul><br><br><ul></ul><br><br><b>About Merit Kitchens:</b><br><br><p>It was over 50 years ago that Merit Kitchens was founded by craftspeople in Van
