Sr Business Systems Analyst - 12 Month Contract - Toronto A leading global financial institution is seeking a highly analytical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join a growing Private Credit Finance technology and transformation team. This role sits at the heart of a major data transformation programme, helping to modernise how credit finance data is captured, consolidated, analysed, and consumed across the business. Key Responsibilities Act as the bridge between Credit Finance business stakeholders and data/technology teams. Source, aggregate, and analyse data from multiple systems within a Databricks environment. Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues across structured credit datasets. Support the firm's strategic data consolidation and transformation initiatives. Structure and prepare datasets for analytical modelling, reporting, and decision-making. Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical models to support business users. Contribute to stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk management frameworks. Work closely with traders, risk teams, data engineers, and senior stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Challenge and refine business requirements where appropriate, ensuring requests are realistic and aligned to available data capabilities. Provide context around data limitations, assumptions, and analytical outputs to support informed business decisions. Key Requirements Strong experience within Credit Finance, Structured Credit, Capital Markets, or Secured Financing. Knowledge of products such as Private Credit, Repo, Securitisation, Mortgage Financing, or Collateralised Lending. Understanding of how credit data supports risk, exposure, and business decision-making. Strong data analysis skills with experience sourcing, validating, and aggregating data from multiple systems. Ability to build and interpret dashboards, reports, and analytical models. Comfortable identifying trends, risks, data issues, and inconsistencies. Experience working with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms. Understanding of data pipelines, data consolidation, and analytical workflows. Ability to extract, analyse, and translate data into meaningful business insights. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data in a clear and commercial way. Experience working with business stakeholders, traders, technology teams, and senior management.
