Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our growing Water team. This role can be based out of our office in Burnaby, or Victoria, British Columbia. This role is well suited for a motivated professional with a solid foundation in civil design, construction, contract administration, and a strong interest in municipal linear infrastructure projects.The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of stormwater, water, and wastewater conveyance infrastructure for municipal clients, working closely with multidisciplinary project teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.The responsibilities of this position include:Design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater /drainage conveyance facilitiesWriting of technical memorandums and reportsPerforming construction inspectionsPreparing documentation for design projects and reportsAssisting with the preparation of construction cost estimatesAssisting with the preparation of project specifications and contract documentsSupporting and mentorship of junior staff membersQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in design and construction of stormwater, water, and wastewater conveyance infrastructureRegistration as a P.Eng. with EGBC or in another Canadian province4 years of post-graduate experience      Preferred Qualifications :Experience in civil engineering, hydraulic modelling, planning, and design construction inspectionWorking knowledge of contract documentation including MMCD and CCDCWorking knowledge of water / wastewater / drainage conveyance infrastructure in a Municipal environmentWorking knowledge of blue and green infrastructure: ponds, wetlands, bioswales, raingardens, etc.Excellent written skills needed for technical reportsValid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicleAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clientsComfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environmentAdditional InformationSponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
