This role focuses on helping organizations modernize critical legacy applications through advanced CA Gen expertise and consulting capabilities. You will work with enterprise clients to analyze existing systems, define modernization strategies, and deliver scalable technical solutions. The position combines hands-on engineering expertise with client-facing advisory responsibilities across complex transformation projects. You will contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from architecture and development to implementation and optimization. Accountabilities: Lead Gen consulting engagements with enterprise clients, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout modernization initiatives. Analyze legacy applications and recommend effective strategies for application modernization, re-platforming, and system re-architecture. Install, configure, upgrade, and optimize CA Gen environments to support business-critical applications. Design, develop, and implement solutions using CA Gen while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify opportunities to improve application performance and development processes. Collaborate with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Deliver projects within agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards while managing technical expectations. Create proof of concepts, prototypes, solution designs, and technical documentation to support project delivery. Contribute to technical proposals, client presentations, and business development initiatives through subject matter expertise. Identify opportunities for improving existing systems, architectures, and engineering practices. Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge sharing across technical teams. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Strong commercial experience working with CA Gen and legacy application environments. Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading Gen environments. Strong understanding of application development principles, including Component-Based Development (CBD), batch processing, transaction processing, relational databases, performance tuning, and UI design and development. Proven experience delivering application modernization, legacy transformation, or re-platforming projects. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with experience resolving complex technical challenges. Experience working directly with enterprise customers in consulting or technical advisory roles. Excellent communication and consulting skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders. Ability to work independently while managing client relationships and project responsibilities. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Experience with technologies such as COBOL, IBM Mainframe, ISPF, JCL, SPUFI, SCLM, Java, .NET, Spring Boot, Angular, cloud platforms, CI/CD tools, or automation solutions is a plus.
