Global Performance System Coordinator
About the role
About the Role: The GPS Coordinator (Global Performance System Coordinator) supports Lean manufacturing and operational excellence by driving safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements. This is a hands-on role working on the production floor, training teams, and ensuring best practices. Key Responsibilities: Deploy and maintain GPS pillars ( Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Productivity, Cost, People Development). Train, coach, and mentor employees at all levels on GPS tools such as 5S, DTM, DMAIC, and problem-solving techniques. Act as a link between plant leadership and corporate teams to align goals and ensure accountability. Support teams in achieving performance objectives using KPIs and visual management systems. Maintain and audit communication boards, tracking charts, and daily indicators. Facilitate Kaizen events, rapid improvement projects, and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives. Guide pillar leaders on goal setting, standardized work, and gap analysis. Monitor production losses (OEE, scrap, downtime) and provide root cause analysis. Prepare reports, support audits, and assist with internal reviews. Walk the production floor weekly with leaders to review 5S compliance, visual checks, and reinforce best practices. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Lean or Continuous Improvement systems ( GPS, TPM, OEE, etc.). Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop dashboards and training materials. Strong communication and coaching skills at all levels. Fluent in both French and English (must be able to read, write, and speak both languages). Comfortable working on the production floor and across all shifts. High integrity, well-organized, and committed to measurable results.
