Role Description This part-time remote Web Developer role is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving Indigenous Energy Monitor’s web platform. Day-to-day tasks include developing front-end user interfaces, implementing back-end functionality, integrating data sources, and ensuring site performance, security, and accessibility. The Web Developer collaborates with team members to translate product requirements into well-structured, responsive web features and designs. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, optimizing code, and contributing to an engaging and user-friendly experience for stakeholders.

Qualifications Strong front-end skills in Front-End Development, Web Design, and Web Development, including responsive layouts and accessibility best practices. Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Programming, with experience integrating databases, APIs, and secure data handling. Familiarity with modern web frameworks, version control (e.g., Git), and collaborative development workflows. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with a distributed team. Experience or interest in energy, resource sectors, or Indigenous economic participation is an asset. Relevant education or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
