RVA is looking for an experienced Senior Hydraulic Modeler to join its Urban and Riverine Systems team in their Toronto office.

Duties:

  • Lead planning, development, calibration, and application of hydraulic models for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
  • Provide technical leadership on complex municipal infrastructure projects, including Municipal Class EA, Master Plans, Basement flooding, capacity analysis, system optimization and Rehabilitation studies, and Climate change and resiliency assessments
  • Serve as the technical lead for hydraulic modelling assignments, ensuring high-quality deliverables, adherence to project schedules, and allocated budget
  • Develop modelling strategies, establish technical approaches, and provide engineering recommendations based on model analyses
  • Lead field test planning for model calibration and validation
  • Provide technical oversight and QA/QC of hydraulic modelling deliverables prepared by junior staff
  • Mentor and train junior and intermediate modellers, supporting their technical and professional development
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for repeat business and new projects
  • Lead proposal development, including write-up, project schedule, and fee estimation.
  • Prepare technical memorandums/ reports.
  • Perform other engineering and modelling tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field, from an accredited post-secondary institution. 
  • Registered or eligible to apply for a P.Eng. license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in water, wastewater and/or stormwater systems modelling and analysis
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex hydraulic modelling and infrastructure planning projects
  • Advanced proficiency with InfoWorks ICM/ PCSWMM/ InfoWater Pro/ WaterGEMS.
  • Aptitude for meeting project schedules and budgets
  • Excellent skills in technical writing and report preparation
  • Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.

Compensation Range:   The compensation range for this position is from $120,000.00 - $170,000.00

Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
