Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc. (Trans-Northern) operates regulated pipelines to safely transport the refined petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, aviation, and heating fuel) used by Canadian businesses and consumers every day. These pipelines connect refineries in Edmonton to Calgary, including the Calgary International Airport; and refineries in Nanticoke, Ont., and Montreal to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with lateral pipelines to Ottawa as well as to Pearson International Airport and Pierre-Elliot Trudeau International Airport. POSITION SUMMARY:

Join our team as a Senior Advisor, Supply Chain, where you'll play a key role in driving procurement excellence and delivering measurable value across the organization. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate and manage supplier agreements, leverage market intelligence to optimize spend, and support critical business operations through effective contract and resource management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to maximize value and optimize organizational spend.
  • Analyze business requirements and market conditions to recommend effective procurement strategies.
  • Identify cost-saving and spend-leveraging opportunities across commodities and services.
  • Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs), including evaluation and contract award recommendations.
  • Negotiate, draft, and establish supplier and contractor agreements, including pricing and terms and conditions.
  • Administer and maintain contracts, including renewals, amendments, extensions, and renegotiations.
  • Conduct annual vendor rate reviews using market intelligence tools and industry benchmarks.
  • Support the issuance and administration of purchase orders and change orders with appropriate documentation.
  • Manage corporate cell phone programs, including vendor relationships, inventory, contracts, and user support.
  • Oversee vehicle fleet acquisition and replacement planning to meet operational requirements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and coordinate contractor evaluations to support organizational KPI reporting.
  • Provide timely resolution of contract-related issues for internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Maintain and enhance inventory and supplier master data within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, reporting enhancements, and standardized business templates.
  • Ensure organizational consistency and compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and terms and conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • 10 years progressive responsibility with quantifiable results in contract negotiation, administration and/or management.
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent education.
  • Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) or Certified Supply Chain Leader (CSCL)
  • Strong experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage market data and business insights.
  • Proven communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and driving continuous process improvement.
  • Proficiency with procurement, contract management, and ERP systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • TNPI offers a flexible work policy that allows for hybrid or remote work arrangements. Employees who are permitted to work a flexible work arrangement will be required to attend the physical office location occasionally, as required at our Richmond Hill office, located at 310-45 Vogell Road.
