Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a motivated Engineering or Planning Student to support the delivery of a variety of transportation planning and traffic engineering projects. The role offers hands-on experience contributing to all phases of project execution including planning and design while developing core technical competencies pertaining to transportation.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting and analyzing transportation related data (traffic counts, collisions records, transit and active modes information).
- Conduct basic traffic operations and safety analysis, including intersection performance and collision data analysis.
- Support traffic engineering tasks such as sightline assessment, capacity analysis, signal timing review, and access/layout assessments.
- Contribute to transportation planning and impact assessment projects.
- Prepare figures, maps, and graphics using GIS and other visualization tools.
- Participate in field visits to observe traffic conditions, document site characteristics, and support data collection efforts.
- Provide general project support, including coordination, scheduling, and proposal preparation.
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
