Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Senior Business Systems Analyst supporting the CODI (Curated Operational Data and Insights) program within Operations Technology, you will be the primary analyst of technical requirements for an Operations AI transformation initiative. You'll serve as the critical liaison between business stakeholders in Operations (ODIA and OE teams) and technical teams (Operations Technology and RBC Borealis), ensuring that AI-driven solutions are grounded in operational reality and technically sound. This role is foundational to CODI's success. You'll drive requirements definition, system integration analysis, and gap identification across current use cases while establishing the framework for future use cases and portal development. You'll combine deep technical fluency with the ability to influence and align multiple business groups around shared priorities. What will you do? Requirements & Analysis Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders, translating operational challenges into technical specifications Conduct current-state process analysis and identify gaps between existing capabilities and future AI-driven solutions Define technical integration details, system mappings, data flows, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, compliance) Identify technical risks, architectural constraints, and feasibility issues; escalate or collaborate with development leads and architects to resolve them Cross-Functional Alignment Facilitate discussions between business stakeholders and technology teams to align on requirements, priorities, and trade-offs Work with multiple business groups to resolve competing priorities through influence and clear communication of impact Document decisions and communicate outcomes to stakeholders in both technical and business language Program Support Act as implementation liaison Design requirements frameworks and documentation standards Partner with technical teams on solution design validation and scope alignment What do you need to succeed? Must-have 5+ years of experience as a business systems analyst or equivalent, with demonstrated mastery in requirements definition and technical analysis Financial services industry experience (banking, lending, payments, or operations) Technical fluency in document handling systems, workflow/automation platforms, and modern application architecture (APIs, microservices, system integration patterns) Ability to identify technical gaps and issues: You can spot architectural concerns, data mapping challenges, or integration risks that others miss Stakeholder management: Proven experience working across multiple business groups, understanding competing priorities, and building alignment through influence rather than authority Communication excellence: Ability to translate between technical and business language; clear, concise documentation of complex requirements Problem-solving orientation: Comfort with ambiguity, emerging technology (AI agents), and complex enterprise environments Nice-to-have Experience with AI/automation or process transformation programs Familiarity with RBC systems or enterprise content management (ECM) platforms Background in operational process design or optimization Experience with RPA, BPM, or workflow automation tools Track record of mentoring or knowledge-sharing in technical environments What's in it for you?
