Business Analyst – Capital Markets (Repo Trading) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid/Onsite)- 2 days wfo Experience: 7+ Years Job Description We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Capital Markets, specifically Repo Trading, to join our team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have experience gathering business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of technology solutions for front, middle, or back-office functions within the repo trading domain. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. Work closely with business users, product owners, and technology teams to deliver solutions. Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements. Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and process flows. Support solution design, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Coordinate with development and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement review sessions. Ensure solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst. Strong experience in Capital Markets, with hands-on knowledge of Repo Trading. Good understanding of the repo trade lifecycle, collateral management, settlements, and trade processing. Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management. Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies. Experience with SQL for data analysis is an advantage. Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with investment banks or financial institutions. Exposure to fixed income products and securities financing. Knowledge of regulatory reporting related to capital markets is a plus. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Scrum are a plus.
