Team Overview:

The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:

  • Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
  • Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.
  • Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
  • Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.

As EDC works to make Canada and the world better through trade, Digital Technology Services helps the organization deliver by providing secure, reliable digital experiences that enable modern ways of working.

Within Technology Operations & Services, the Workplace Solutions / Digital Employee Experience (DEE) is EDC’s digital employee experience hub, empowering colleagues by integrating and promoting innovative workplace technologies and building a fearless digital culture. Our team bridges the gap between technology and day-to-day work by driving adoption of the Microsoft 365 suite (including M365 Copilot) through practical enablement, engaging learning experiences, and data-informed improvement. By strengthening digital proficiency and reducing friction in how employees get support and utilize digital tools, we help unlock the productivity enhancements that support EDC’s 2030 strategy and our ability to deliver outcomes with speed and impact.

What you will be doing:

Enterprise-wide M365 Copilot enablement:

  • Support the roll-out of M365 Copilot and associated generative AI capabilities across EDC through role-based enablement, learning paths, and practical “how-to” guidance.
  • Develop and maintain engaging learning materials (job aids, micro-learning, demos, prompt guidance) that help employees integrate Copilot into everyday workflows and improve proficiency.
  • Partner with stakeholders (e.g., Communications, Change Management, Learning and Development, business and operations groups) to plan adoption moments such as office hours, learning events, and targeted sessions.
  • Facilitate workshops with business and operations teams to uncover high-value AI use-cases and work with our Digital Workplace and AI CoE teams to move use-cases from ideation to delivery.

Drive adoption of M365 suite and productivity tools:

  • Design and deliver practical enablement that builds employee proficiency across the M365 toolset, using multiple channels and formats (live sessions, self-serve content, intranet/Viva resources).
  • Create memorable, user-friendly content and campaigns that accelerate adoption and help employees self-serve effectively.

Strengthen the Digital Employee Experience at EDC:

  • Contribute to NEXUS outcomes by supporting initiatives that improve end-user experience through better enablement, proactive engagement, and practical guidance that reduces friction in how employees work.
  • Help build and energize communities (e.g., Digital Champions networks, Viva Engage communities) to amplify peer learning, share success stories, and reduce “us vs. them” barriers between business and technology teams.

Measure outcomes and continuously improve adoption programs:

  • Define measurable outcomes for adoption initiatives (e.g., participation, satisfaction, usage lift, qualitative feedback), and use insights to refine content, coaching, and campaigns.
  • Analyze the adoption of metrics and end-user sentiment to make informed recommendations and prioritize continuous improvements.

What we are looking for:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field, which could include Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing or Communications.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in digital enablement, change management or technology adoption roles.
  • Demonstrated experience acting as the primary lead for external partners supporting enterprise adoption initiatives, including defining scope and success criteria, governing delivery, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring partner contributions drive measurable adoption outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI Technology, and helping business teams adopt AI into their Ways of Working, even better if you have experience with Agentic AI solutions and Copilot Studio.
  • Proven ability to design, lead, and evolve enablement and change programs, including program and initiative planning, development of adoption strategies and roadmaps and continuous improvement based on insights and feedback.
  • Comfort with measurement: defining outcomes, collecting data, and using insights to improve programs.
  • Proven ability to build trust, communicate effectively and drive alignment across functional groups, experience working with both leaders and individual contributors.
  • Experience with IT Service Management and ITSM / ticketing tools (e.g. Service Now, JIRA).

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience building Communities of Practice (Champions networks, peer learning communities) and sustaining community engagement.
  • Experience applying formal change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, or similar methodologies) to support sustained behavior change, stakeholder engagement, and technology adoption outcomes.
  • Business Analyst / Business Relationship Management certification (BRMP, CBAP or other) and/or the ability to facilitate stakeholder working sessions and turn requirements into outcomes.
  • Experience working in a Digital Employee Experience or Digital Adoption team - moving beyond reactive support to proactive design, improving employee experience through XLA development, implementing voice-of-the-employee insights and development of adoption analytics.
  • Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).
