About Concert Properties Putting people first is at the heart of the Concert Properties story. We are deeply invested in improving the lives of the people who live and work in our communities, acknowledging that communities are more than just buildings. We focus on quality, consistency and sustainability, and our business is driven by warm, passionate people who embody a desire to help each of us feel more connected to one another. We develop, own and manage rental apartments; develop condominium homes; and develop, acquire and manage industrial and office properties. Since 1989, we’ve grown to over $6.6 billion in assets under control. Position Summary The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) acts as the primary relationship and demand-shaping connection point between Digital Technology and assigned business functions, including Property Management, Investments, Finance, ESG, and other functions as the portfolio evolves. This is a senior, trust-based role focused on understanding business priorities, shaping technology-enabled opportunities, and ensuring demand is clear, sponsored, and ready before it enters formal portfolio governance. The BRM also leads the Business Analysis discipline across Digital Technology as a practice lead. The role sets BA standards, grows capability, and coaches BAs and delivery leads on problem framing, discovery quality, requirements quality, and outcome definition. This is a BA-intensive role, with roughly 35-40% of time spent on discovery support, problem framing, and shaping requirements. The BRM is equally fluent in business and technology conversations, with strong relationship-building skills, senior BA depth, and the judgement to say "not yet" to demand that is not ready. This role brings an ITIL/Agile-aligned view of business relationship management and the presence to operate credibly with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions. This role reports to the Director, Digital Platforms, Delivery & Governance. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary relationship lead for assigned business functions, building trusted partnerships and understanding business priorities. Serve as the main intake channel for new initiatives while directing operational issues through appropriate service channels. Own the readiness gate, ensuring clear sponsorship, defined outcomes, aligned KPIs, and identified dependencies. Assess business readiness including stakeholder commitment, adoption capacity, and change impacts. Lead and elevate the Business Analysis practice, setting standards and coaching teams. Support early-stage discovery and requirements shaping for complex initiatives. Define and validate business benefits with sponsors and ensure accountability for outcomes. Represent business priorities and readiness in portfolio planning and governance discussions. Identify and escalate risks related to readiness, alignment, or benefit realization. Ensure change, training, and adoption needs are incorporated into planning. Required Knowledge & Skills 7+ years’ experience in business relationship management, business analysis, or similar roles. Strong business analysis expertise including problem framing, discovery, and requirements development. Ability to shape and qualify initiatives and assess readiness before delivery. Experience defining and tracking business benefits tied to measurable outcomes. Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders. Familiarity with portfolio governance and prioritization processes. Strong communication skills across executive and delivery levels. Please note this is a general description of the tasks and skills required. Additional responsibilities and duties may be required to successfully perform this role. Join the Concert Properties team in building a people-first future.
