How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team: The Manager, Digital Solutions & Business Systems provides strategic and operational oversight to the planning, acquisition and deployment of applications and database infrastructure at TRCA. The role develops policies, procedures and guidelines and manages a team to deliver effective management of web and digital services, business applications, database and integration services. In addition, they are a key contact TRCA stakeholder partners for information technology, business application integration, intellectual property agreements, contract negotiations related to information technology, and the coordination of joint IT ventures and partnerships. Major Responsibilities: Leads the development and implementation of systems and solutions strategies in partnership with the CIO and other ITRM Management Team members; seeks to maximize the value of solutions and apply solutions to multiple areas where possible. Leads the Lotus Notes decommissioning program, including identifying and prioritizing applications, databases and business processes for transition to new solutions. Reviews technical solutions to ensure they integrate with current and planned systems, and recommends new technical solutions or directions to meet corporate goals and strategic initiatives. Leads the planning, procurement and implementation of TRCA’s new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in partnership with the CIO and other TRCA stakeholders. Develops the ERP Request for Proposal, Terms of Reference, specifications, evaluation criteria and other procurement documentation. Obtains approvals for project scope and ensures project staff and resources are able to deliver the project, addressing training or resource gaps and developing project plans and timelines. Identifies project risks, resource gaps and issues of concern and works with stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Monitors service quality and continuity and leads improvements in service delivery. Leads a team of staff and ensures team members understand expectations; communicates schedules, tasks and priorities. Supports a culture of workplace equity and inclusion that celebrates diversity. What will you need to succeed: Education (degree/diploma/certifications) University degree in Computer studies, Systems Engineering, Commerce, Communications/Media or a related field Valid Ontario Class G2 driver's license Experience 5+ years’ experience working with application management and development for a complex, multi-service environment 2+ years of progressive managerial, supervisory or project management experience Experience managing the implementation, support and maintenance of web applications, databases. integration services, and automation tools Knowledge/Skill/Ability - Competencies Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint Expert knowledge of and experience managing SAS, Hosted and On Premise information technology solutions, including: digital/web services, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Point of Sale (POS) systems, business application services, Relational Database Management Systems, application development lifecycle Knowledge of relational database concepts, database administration, integration services, and automation tools Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience Strong budget management and cost control skills; able to address variances and manage ongoing risks while managing multiple deadlines / work processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate ideas, proposals, and project status for various audiences Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks as an ongoing challenge in a frequently fluctuating workload and multiple deadlines; adopts and leads through Project Management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft SharePoint, including the design and implementation of SharePoint-based business solutions, sites, workflows and information management structures. Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and experience supporting ERP procurement, implementation, integration and business process transformation. Expert knowledge of Lotus Notes/Domino environments, including application and database assessment, migration planning and the decommissioning or modernization of legacy Notes solutions is mandatory. Strong knowledge of systems architecture and the design and integration of enterprise business systems and solutions.
