Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Geological, Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, or Earth Sciences (minimum) • Minimum 3 years of experience in terrain stability assessment, geomorphology, or natural hazard evaluation • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in BC • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, defensible terrain stability reports • Demonstrated experience conducting fieldwork in remote or rugged terrain, including terrain classification and landslide hazard assessments • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision • Previous project coordination or project management experience • Proficient with GIS‑based mapping tools and standard office software • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record • Legally eligible to work in Canada • Strong work ethic with a commitment to high‑quality, practical engineering • Effective communicator with excellent oral and written skills Supplementary Skills: • Experience conducting terrain stability assessments, forestry road inspections, and landslide hazard evaluations • Familiarity with terrain stability and geomorphology assessment tools (e.g., GIS‑based terrain mapping, LiDAR interpretation, aerial photo analysis, field terrain classification methods) • Background in materials testing, construction inspection, and geotechnical field programs • Experience working in remote or rugged terrain, including helicopter‑supported fieldwork
The Rewards: In exchange for your hard work and dedication, you will receive a highly competitive annual salary along with a comprehensive benefits package, including: • Extended health and dental coverage • Profit sharing opportunities • Reimbursement of applicable professional membership dues • Employee share options • Opportunities for paid training and professional development (role dependent)
Upon joining DMC, you will be welcomed into a close-knit and cohesive organization with excellent company culture and a range of social events. Our team brings deep experience across a wide range of consulting services, supporting First Nation communities, provincial agencies, municipalities, architects, developers, and contracting firms throughout BC. Backed by a trusted network of associates, we’re able to scale our expertise across western Canada and beyond — keeping projects moving and the momentum strong. At the heart of DMC are the values that set our tempo: commitment to our staff, our relationships, our community, and our environment. These aren’t just guiding principles, they’re the cadence we work to every day, shaping our culture and the way we show up for the people and places we serve.
