Your Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Markham office, with consideration for other Ontario locations. You will be part of the Water Resources Technical Team within Stantec’s Environmental Services Business Line, contributing to a wide range of water resources projects. Your Key Responsibilities This role involves working within multidisciplinary teams on baseline and impact assessments, feasibility studies, hydrologic assessments, and water quality investigations. You will manage complex scopes of work alongside hydrologists, hydrotechnical engineers, hydrogeologists, structural engineers, and directly engage with clients. Strong hydrology and hydraulics expertise is essential. The key responsibilities for this position include: Lead and manage water resources projects involving hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality components Oversee project budgets, staff allocation, and invoice preparation and review Prepare proposals, develop work plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage projects and tasks Author clear and comprehensive technical reports documenting modeling results, field investigations and analytical findings Design and supervise hydrological and water quality field investigations Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to contribute to project success Apply industry standards, guidelines, and regulatory frameworks consistently Perform primarily office-based work involving extended computer use and data analysis Travel to field sites as required, including occasional overnight stays
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
