Our challenge: We are seeking a highly skilled Regression Tester to join our engineering and quality organization. This role is ideal for a senior individual contributor with strong experience in Python, automation engineering, test frameworks, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions using frameworks such as Playwright and Selenium. In addition, the role requires practical experience applying artificial intelligence and generative AI technologies to engineering workflows, including agent implementation, prompt engineering, and hands-on usage of platforms such as OpenAI and Claude.
The Role Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks using Python. Build automated test solutions for web, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. Develop and maintain automation using tools such as: Playwright Selenium Python-based testing frameworks and libraries Create reusable utilities, test components, libraries, and automation accelerators. Improve the reliability, maintainability, scalability, and execution speed of automated tests. Identify suitable opportunities to automate manual and repetitive engineering activities. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows. Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work with engineering teams to resolve defects. Establish and promote automation engineering standards, coding practices, and quality processes.
Requirements: You are: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered. Significant professional experience in software quality engineering, test automation, software development, or a related technical field. Strong hands-on programming experience with Python. Extensive experience designing and implementing automation frameworks. Practical experience with one or more of the following: Playwright Selenium Pytest or similar Python testing frameworks Strong understanding of software testing principles and automation engineering practices. Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and continuous integration practices. Experience with UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end automation. Experience troubleshooting automation failures and performing root-cause analysis. Practical experience with AI or generative AI implementation in engineering, testing, or business workflows. Experience implementing or contributing to AI agents or agent-based solutions. Hands-on experience with prompt engineering. Experience using AI platforms or APIs such as: OpenAI Claude Azure OpenAI Comparable large language model platforms Ability to translate business or engineering problems into practical, scalable technical solutions. Strong communication, collaboration, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
Nice-to-have: It would be great if you also had: Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD tools and pipelines. Experience with REST APIs, API automation, JSON, and service virtualization. Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, code review practices, and DevOps workflows. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience developing internal engineering tools, automation accelerators, or reusable platforms. Experience with AI orchestration, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, or workflow automation. Familiarity with AI safety, data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices.
