Job Description What is the opportunity? Shape the future of trading products for one of Canada's leading digital investment platforms. The Senior Manager, Trading Product Strategy will play a critical role in ensuring the business invests in the right priorities and delivers P&L outcomes for RBC Direct Investing's trading business. You will serve as a trading domain expert, bringing deep knowledge of self-directed client segments, competitive dynamics, and market trends to inform business decisions. Working across product, technology, operations, and business teams, you will ensure strategic initiatives are set up for success, remain aligned to strategy, and deliver measurable financial results. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic decision-making at RBC Direct Investing, drive P&L outcomes, and help shape the trading product roadmap. What will you do? Build business cases from scratch for trading product initiatives, including financial modeling, ROI analysis, and multi-year P&L projections Drive prioritization decisions and guide cross-functional partners to ensure investment in the right initiatives and alignment to business objectives Lead strategic initiatives and own accountability for delivering business outcomes and P&L results Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and client needs across self-directed investor segments to inform strategic recommendations and business cases Partner across product, delivery, technology, operations, risk, and compliance to align stakeholders, remove barriers, and drive initiatives forward What do you need to succeed? Must have: 5+ years of progressive experience in product strategy, strategy consulting, capital markets, or the investment industry Strong financial modeling skills, including business case development, ROI analysis, and P&L forecasting Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and secure buy-in across organizational partners Proven strategic problem solving skills, including the ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems and translate analysis into action Strong execution mindset with the ability to deliver results in complex, matrixed environments Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance or a related quantitative field Knowledge of investment products and the self-directed investing space; CFA and/or MBA an asset What’s in it for you?
