JOB TITLE: AV Engineer POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent VACANCY STATUS: This posting is for a NEW vacancy. SCHEDULE: Hybrid, Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm PAY RANGE: CA $75,000.00 - 100,000.00 per year

As part of our growing UC team, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and supporting our video meeting room initiatives
JOB SUMMARY: Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Design and engineer AV systems and solutions tailored to meet client needs, specifications, and budget constraints. Develop detailed AV system designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment lists using industry-standard software and tools. Lead and supervise the installation, configuration, and integration of AV systems and components, including audio equipment, video displays, projectors, cameras, microphones, and control systems. Conduct on-site assessments, site surveys, and equipment testing to ensure proper installation and functionality of AV systems. Coordinate with subcontractors, technicians, and other project team members to ensure timely and successful project completion. Perform comprehensive testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance checks on installed AV systems to verify performance, functionality, and compliance with project requirements. Conduct system commissioning, calibration, and optimization to achieve optimal audio and video quality, clarity, and reliability. Provide client training and support to ensure proper operation and maintenance of AV systems following installation. Create and maintain accurate documentation, including system drawings, equipment lists, user manuals, and project documentation, to support project delivery and client handover. Generate progress reports, status updates, and project documentation to communicate project status, milestones, and issues to project stakeholders and management. Provide technical support and assistance to clients, end-users, and internal teams regarding AV system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Diagnose and resolve technical issues and system failures promptly, either remotely or on-site, to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operation of AV systems.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV system design, integration, installation, and support, preferably in a professional AV integration firm or similar environment. Proficiency in AV design and engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Crestron Toolbox, AMX Programmer, Extron Global Configurator, etc. Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex AV system issues effectively. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT: In-depth knowledge of AV technology, equipment, and systems, including audio processing, video processing, signal routing, control systems, and networking protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed and work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines and requirements. Proficiency in speaking and writing in French a strong asset.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications or training in AV technology required.
