About the role

What will you do:

  • Build a strong understanding of financial data sources, systems, and business processes to ensure accurate, consistent, and usable data across reporting and analytics.
  • Support and contribute to ETL processes, including the extraction, transformation, and loading of financial data into data marts and reporting layers.
  • Design, build, and maintain code-based financial reporting and analytical solutions supporting recurring and ad hoc reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance measurement.
  • Produce, validate, reconcile, and deliver time‑sensitive financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to defined timelines and business requirements.
  • Perform data reconciliations across source systems, data marts, and reports; analyze variances, investigate root causes, and resolve issues prior to publication.
  • Analyze large and complex financial datasets to identify trends, risks, anomalies, and opportunities, translating findings into actionable business insights.
  • Apply analytical, validation, and control techniques to ensure data integrity and reliability throughout the reporting lifecycle.
  • Translate business and finance requirements into scalable data models, queries, ETL logic, and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business, Finance, Technology, and Data Engineering teams to enhance data platforms, pipelines, and reporting capabilities.
  • Identify and implement automation and process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen controls.
  • Prepare concise reports, dashboards, and presentations, communicating insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

What you bring:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analytics, financial reporting, or related roles supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and validation.
  • Experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau, with hands‑on experience designing and building dashboards and visual reports, as well as Python or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of data modeling, data management, and reporting best practices.
  • Experience working with large‑scale financial datasets in enterprise environments.
  • Proven, hands‑on experience performing data reconciliation, investigating variances across data sources and reports, and validating results prior to release.
  • Experience supporting ETL workflows, with hands‑on ETL development experience using enterprise data platforms considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for story tracking, sprint execution, UAT coordination, and defect resolution is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Git‑based repositories, such as Azure DevOps Repos (or similar tools), for code management and promotion across environments is considered an asset.
  • Retail or Banking experience is an asset, particularly in finance, sales, inventory, operations, logistics, or related domains.

Broadband Salary Range: $64,000 – $106,000 .

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $85,000 . Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
