About the role
Role: Director of Business Development Industry: Life Sciences Consulting Location: Remote, Canada
Meet is currently partnered with a growing life sciences consulting business that works with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to deliver strategic solutions across Clinical, Medical, Regulatory and Commercial Affairs.
Following continued growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Director of Business Development to help expand their commercial presence, build executive relationships, and win strategic consulting engagements across the life sciences industry.
Expectations: • Develop new business opportunities across pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations • Build and grow executive-level relationships with new and existing clients • Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through proposal, negotiation and close • Partner with scientific, strategy and client services teams to develop tailored solutions for clients • Drive growth across existing strategic accounts while identifying new opportunities • Represent the business at conferences, industry events and networking opportunities • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasting and CRM reporting
Requirements: • 10+ years of business development experience within life sciences • Experience selling consulting, agency or professional services • Strong network across pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations • Proven track record of winning and growing multi-million dollar client accounts • Executive presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Experience leading consultative, solution-based sales processes • Advanced scientific or commercial degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MBA or MSc preferred)
