This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of technology and operations. You will partner closely with Operations to modernize service delivery, strengthen frontline enablement, and ensure IT performs as a scalable, growth-ready engine for the business.What's The Role?The Director of IT Operations leads the transformation of enterprise IT operations — shaping how technology supports the business today while building the foundation for what comes next.You’ll drive the shift toward a more predictive, automated, and insight-driven IT environment, while maintaining the reliability, security, and performance the organization depends on every day. From enabling acquisitions to standardizing systems and improving employee experience, your work directly influences how effectively the business operates and grows.What You'll DoIT Operations LeadershipLead enterprise IT operations across infrastructure, cloud, networks, and end-user computingDrive system reliability, scalability, and performance through strong operational disciplineAdvance automation and AI-enabled capabilities to enable proactive monitoring and faster resolutionOperations Partnership & Business AlignmentBuild trusted partnerships with Operations leaders and align IT to frontline needsTranslate business priorities into scalable, practical technology solutionsPosition IT as a proactive, value-driving partner supporting operational excellence and growthModernization & Growth EnablementModernize IT operations through automation, self-service, and standardized workflowsEnable business growth with scalable systems and consistent operating modelsLead IT integration for acquisitions, including onboarding, consolidation, and rationalizationService Delivery & End-User ExperienceOversee service desk and end-user support with a focus on quality and responsivenessImprove service performance and enhance the employee experienceReduce friction through automation and more efficient support modelsCybersecurity & CompliancePartner with cybersecurity teams to maintain strong security and privacy controlsSupport audit readiness and IT general controls in a public company environmentEmbed risk-aware practices into day-to-day IT operationsVendor, Financial & Asset ManagementManage key vendor relationships to ensure performance, accountability, and valueOversee procurement, asset lifecycle management, and cost optimizationLead IT operations budgeting aligned to business priorities and efficiencyTeam LeadershipLead and develop a distributed IT operations teamBuild a high-performance culture grounded in ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvementAlign team structure, capacity, and priorities with evolving business needsQualificationsWho Are We Looking For?10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT operations, infrastructure, and service delivery within a complex, multi-site environment.Proven experience managing hybrid environments and cloud platforms (Azure strongly preferred).Strong track record in IT service management with ownership of KPIs, SLAs, and service performance.Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and integration initiatives.Demonstrated success in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.Solid understanding of cybersecurity controls, compliance, and audit readiness in a corporate or public company environment.Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and lead distributed teams.Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree considered an asset.ITIL certification preferred; PMP, PRINCE2, or cloud/security certifications are assets.Additional InformationWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Be part of an industry that's more important than ever!Award winning safety culture.A flexible hybrid work model.Supportive team environment with room to grow together.Employee Referral Program.We are growing!Certified as a Great Place to Work 2025-2026!Dexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
