About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst, IT Operations Liaison, to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. This full-time, permanent position sits at the intersection of operations and technology, playing a vital role in aligning manufacturing, administrative, and IT functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business needs into scalable technology solutions, driving process improvements, ensuring data integrity, and supporting operational excellence across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation to optimize efficiency and support digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within manufacturing or lumber industries Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational workflows Experience with ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) systems Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster cross-functional collaboration Knowledge of EDI processes and compliance requirements, especially related to AD/CVD for U.S. exports Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written) is required Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques Results-oriented, adaptable, and structured approach to work in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between operations, administrative functions, and IT, ensuring alignment of priorities and initiatives Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and support the full project lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, deployment, and user adoption Develop a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement Provide functional leadership on core systems such as ERP and BI, ensuring their reliability, usability, and data consistency across operational and financial flows Assist finance and administrative teams in resolving discrepancies and enhancing internal controls Ensure compliance and accuracy in AD/CVD processes for U.S. exports, collaborating with compliance teams Leverage data analytics to monitor performance, support decision-making, and generate actionable business insights Participate in strategic IT initiatives, including system enhancements, integrations, and digital transformation projects Oversee Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes, ensuring stability, accuracy, and smooth onboarding of trading partners
