Job Description Reporting to the Senior Pavement Engineer, the Intermediate Pavement Engineer, will be responsible for supporting the overall success of MTO Projects in Canada. Act in a supporting role on delivery of pavement engineering elements of transportation infrastructure projects for MTO. Monitoring industry standards and developments, assessing client needs and making concrete decisions on proposed solutions. Monitoring project financial performance and invoicing clients promptly. Develop and carry out site investigations for a variety of pavement design clients. Participated in the preparation of Engineering Documents for a variety of geotechnical deliverables. Preparing technical designs, specifications, reports and technical documentation. Monitoring project schedule to ensure we deliver by agreed-upon due dates. Advancing projects through the concept and detailed design phases, managing existing clients and developing new clients. Liaising with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors. Qualifications Completion of a University degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.). Minimum 5 years of progressive related pavement design experience within a professional services environment. MTO experience considered an asset. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with clients and other relevant stakeholders. Thorough knowledge in Municipal/Provincial Engineering including policies, regulations, guidelines and operational procedures. Demonstrated experience in delivery of large scale projects. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. French an asset. Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team. Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance. Additional Information We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
