About the role
Our client, a prominent construction firm with locations in Kitchener and London, Ontario, is seeking two Residential Buildings Piping Designers who possess over four years of experience in a comparable position. The organization is expanding and requires your expertise.
Your experience you bring will include: · Exposure to HVAC, fire protection, or broader MEP systems · Ontario Building Code / National Plumbing Code familiarity · Site visit / construction administration experience · Experience in consulting engineering environments Your responsibilities will include: · Prepare and coordinate plumbing design drawings for permit and construction under the direction of the Project Engineer or Project Lead. · Lead or assist in developing design briefs, verification requirements, and project checklists to ensure quality and compliance with standards. · Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain design intent and project milestones. · Review and issue shop drawings and support construction services with site reviews and technical clarification. · Attend design and coordination meetings; record and distribute meeting minutes to the MEP Project Lead. · Other related duties as assigned by the Plumbing or MEP Division Leads.
