Title : Business Systems Analyst Location: Remote Position Type: Full Time
Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and technology-driven Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support the Product 2.0 program. This role is responsible for leading requirements discovery, business process analysis, solution documentation, user story development, acceptance criteria definition, and end-to-end traceability across Syndigo PIM, DAM, integration, and AI-enabled product data capabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Business SMEs, Architects, Development Teams, Vendors, and QA teams to ensure business requirements are translated into scalable, supportable, and high-quality solutions. Experience with Syndigo PIM and Syndigo Vendor Central is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Management Lead requirements elicitation sessions, workshops, and design reviews with business and technology stakeholders. Document business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Maintain traceability between requirements, design artifacts, Jira work items, test cases, and releases. Facilitate requirement prioritization and scope alignment for MVP and future releases.
Product Onboarding & Data Governance Analyze and document product onboarding workflows, vendor onboarding processes, and product maintenance activities. Define business rules for product hierarchy management, product taxonomy management, brand management, vendor enrichment, product content creation, category-specific attributes, and reference data / LOV management. Support enterprise product data governance initiatives, data quality controls, stewardship, and audit requirements. Integration & Data Analysis Define business requirements and specifications for integrations between PIM, PCM, DAM, SAP / MDG, IMS, PMM, ESB, Vendor Central, and downstream consumers. Analyze product data flows, API interactions, file exchanges, transformation requirements, and exception handling. Collaborate with solution architects and developers to validate end-to-end solution designs.
Process Modeling & Future-State Design Create current-state and future-state process models for Product 2.0 journeys. Facilitate design workshops for vendor onboarding, product onboarding, product maintenance, taxonomy management, asset onboarding, reference data maintenance, and AI-assisted content management. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend optimization opportunities.
AI-Enabled Business Analysis Utilize Copilot, ChatGPT, Atlassian Rovo, and other AI-assisted tools to accelerate requirements documentation, user story creation, acceptance criteria, process documentation, impact assessments, test scenarios, and defect analysis. Identify opportunities to introduce AI-driven automation and intelligence into Product 2.0 business processes.
Quality & Delivery Support Partner with QA teams to support SIT, E2E, and UAT activities. Validate business scenarios, edge cases, and exception handling. Participate in defect triage and resolution discussions. Support release readiness, cutover planning, go-live preparation, and hypercare transition.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product teams, delivery teams, and vendors. Facilitate workshops, requirement reviews, and decision-making sessions. Drive alignment on business priorities, scope, risks, dependencies, and timelines. Support Product 2.0 governance processes, RAIDD management, and status reporting.
Required Qualifications 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Experience working on Product Information Management (PIM), Product Content Management (PCM), Master Data Management (MDM), Product Data Governance, or related enterprise data initiatives. Proven ability to write high-quality business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation programs. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, Microsoft 365, and Copilot or other AI-powered productivity tools.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Syndigo PIM and Syndigo Vendor Central is strongly preferred; hands-on experience supporting Syndigo implementations, product onboarding, taxonomy management, workflow configuration, data governance, integrations, and data migration is considered a significant asset. Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and product data governance initiatives. Knowledge of retail product data concepts, including GTINs, UPCs, SKU management, product taxonomy, brand hierarchies, and vendor data. Experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, ESB platforms, and XML / JSON data exchanges. Familiarity with AI-assisted business analysis, requirements management, and testing practices. Understanding of data quality controls, data stewardship, and audit requirements. Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation, PIM, PCM, or MDM programs. CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent certification is an asset.
