Compensation Range: $91,000 - $100,000

Location: Remote, U.S.

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Specialist helps transform data, evaluation findings, and learnings into information that strengthens program quality, implementation, and outcomes. Working closely with internal teams and implementing partners, this position looks at program performance, identifies trends and opportunities for improvement, and helps translate findings into action.

 

The Specialist supports quality improvement, performance measurement, program evaluation and monitoring, and organizational learning efforts. Through analysis, reporting, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, this role uses data, evidence, and field experience to inform decisions, strengthen practice, and support positive outcomes for the children, families, and communities served from our Changent programs.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

35% | Program Monitoring & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor program performance to help teams understand progress, variation, and areas requiring additional support.
  • Review and analyze program data to assess performance, outcomes, implementation, and progress toward program goals.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and themes across implementing partners and geographies.
  • Develop program-specific analyses and materials to support evaluation, learning, and decision-making.
  • Lead or participate in monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities to assess program effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Prepare data for internal and external uses, including donor reports and conference presentations

 

30% | REPORTING & DATA QUALITY

  • Own program reporting standards, data definitions, and measurement criteria.
  • Oversee program metrics and reporting consistency across sites.
  • Define and share program indicators, outcome measures, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain and improve program forms, indicators, and data collection processes.
  • Assess reporting and information needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development of solutions.

 

  • Define business requirements for reports, dashboards, and reporting enhancements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate program needs into data, reporting, and technical solutions.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve data gathering, reporting, and program measurement.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and validate reporting outputs.
  • Support review of reporting outputs to help ensure information is accurate, consistent, understandable, and aligned with program needs.

 

35% | EVIDENCE USE, LEARNING, & PRACTICE APPLICATION

  • Translate data, research, evaluation findings, and field insights into recommendations, learning opportunities, and practical program improvements.
  • Partner with staff and implementing partners to interpret and apply reports, findings, performance information, and evidence to program operations and decision-making.
  • Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing with internal and external stakeholders to support program improvement and outcomes.
  • Develop presentations, summaries, and learning products that communicate findings, lessons learned, and opportunities for action.
  • Share findings, lessons learned, and promising practices to strengthen organizational learning and program improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen implementation, service delivery, partner support, and program practice through informed decision-making and continuous learning.
  • Develop and lead quality improvement initiatives
  • Develop and collaborate with student learners on projects
  • Other responsibilities as determined by the supervisor

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Master's degree in nursing, public health, or a related field preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering Nurse-Family Partnership services including experience as a Nurse Practice Manager.
  • Experience providing nursing education, training, consultation, or presentations.
  • Experience implementing quality improvement initiatives; experience with frameworks such as PDSA and CQI preferred.
  • Experience in nursing leadership, supervision, education, or program support preferred.
  • Knowledge of nursing practice, standards, and processes.
  • Knowledge of maternal-child health nursing principles and practice.
  • Ability to apply research and evidence to nursing practice.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program delivery, implementation, evaluation, quality improvement, performance measurement, learning, or a related field.
  • Experience working in health, behavioral health, early childhood, maternal-child health, community-based programs, or other human services programs preferred.

 

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting programmatic data to identify trends, patterns, and performance insights.
  • Experience using data to inform decisions and support program improvement efforts.
  • Experience translating research, evidence, findings, or insights into recommendations.
  • Experience supporting evaluation, performance monitoring, organizational learning, or quality improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding of how research, evaluation, and evidence inform program practice.
  • Knowledge of client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, implementing partners, and cross-functional teams.

 

SUPERVISORY    RESPONSIBILITIES

This position reports to the Director, Nurse-Family Partnership and does not have direct reports.
