Overview Reporting directly to the IS Solutions Architect, the Business Analyst supports the translation of business needs, issues, and opportunities into practical, scalable, and supportable technology solutions. This role works in close partnership with the Solutions Architect, business stakeholders, Information Systems teams, vendors, and delivery partners to support the end-to-end lifecycle of business technology initiatives, from initial intake and discovery through solution design, implementation, and ongoing optimization. In addition to traditional business systems analysis responsibilities, this role contributes to early-stage solution shaping, cross-system impact analysis, process improvement, and technology evaluation. The successful candidate will be expected to understand business problems deeply, ask the right questions, clarify scope and value, evaluate solution options, and help move work forward with structure, alignment, and follow-through. This role is open to candidates across Canada and the US. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the shaping of end-to-end solutions by connecting business needs across processes, systems, and data to ensure cohesive and effective outcomes Work with business stakeholders to translate and simplify needs into clear requirements, solution approaches, and business cases for existing or new applications (leveraging the Intake Process) Conduct preliminary technical and solution feasibility analysis, including assessing risks, dependencies, integration considerations, and implementation complexity Work with technical teams and vendors to evaluate solution feasibility, integration needs, configuration options, and overall fit within the existing application landscape Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and cross-functional discussions to clarify problems, explore solution options, and align stakeholders Support and help lead the Intake Process by guiding stakeholders through defining scope, value, priorities, risks, dependencies, and solution considerations Translate business requests into clear requirements, user stories, process flows, and solution options, including integrations, data, and workflow considerations Facilitate or lead business process design and re-design as part of shaping and implementing effective, scalable solutions Act as an internal consultant to the business by developing a strong understanding of operations, challenges, and opportunities, and providing guidance on practical solution options Identify and recommend opportunities where technology, process improvements, or system enhancements can increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve experience Use requirements and solution design to support test planning, process changes, scope management, acceptance, implementation, and deployment activities Qualifications: University Degree or professional certification and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in business analyst, system analyst or equivalent role Experience working with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver solutions Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to translate business needs into structured requirements and solution approaches Familiarity with software development lifecycle and testing practices Exceptional customer service skills Strong communicator, both written and verbal Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines and changing priorities The ability to advocate change and influence outcomes in areas without any direct responsibility Salary: $69,300 - $86,550 (based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography) Eligible employees may earn performance-based incentives and have access to comprehensive benefits and retirement plans with matching contributions.
