Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS Snowflake Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, Snowflake data warehousing, data architecture, and modern data engineering practices. This role will be responsible for defining scalable data solutions, establishing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance analytics and data integration capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms using Snowflake and AWS cloud services. Lead end-to-end data warehouse and data lake initiatives, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and reporting. Develop enterprise data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices. Design and implement ELT/ETL pipelines using modern data integration tools and AWS-native services. Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, cost management, and security. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and application teams to define data requirements and solutions. Implement data security, compliance, and access control strategies across cloud environments. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and architectural approaches to support evolving business needs. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering and data teams. Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform enhancements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud-based data solutions. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud. Strong experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS. Expertise with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, Athena, IAM, CloudFormation, and Step Functions. Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling. Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks. Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core, Advanced Architect, or equivalent). AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional. Experience with data governance, data quality, and metadata management solutions. Familiarity with real-time data streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis. Experience with BI and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
