As a Strategic Account Technology Strategist, you will serve as the trusted technology advisor - in effect, a virtual CTO—to the technology leadership of your telecommunications accounts. You will design and drive leading-edge initiatives in deep partnership with your customers’ CTOs, CTIOs, and Chief Network and AI Officers, aligning Microsoft’s platform to their most ambitious business and engineering priorities while advancing Microsoft’s objectives.

Paired with a Strategic Account Executive and orchestrating a large, multi-functional v-team across the breadth of the Microsoft Cloud and the Microsoft partner ecosystem, you will grow your network of technology executives and bring industry-relevant, AI-first solutions to market. Drawing on a proven record of architecting solutions that deliver business outcomes and account growth, you will combine deep telecommunications expertise with cutting-edge knowledge of AI, data, and security to accelerate your customers’ transformation and to become their most trusted technology advisor.

Responsibilities

Customer AI and Security Strategy Leadership - As the customer’s trusted technology advisor—in effect, a virtual CTO—grow and manage the technology relationship across the leadership. Drive Operational and Commercial Excellence - Drive Microsoft business growth, customer technology transformation leading technical executive conversations and governance, partnering to accelerate adoption of Microsoft platforms and creating new opportunities to enable our customers ambitions. Technology Leadership Across Microsoft - Orchestrate the internal and partner technical team to deliver technology leadership and an always-learning culture—spanning agentic AI and Copilot, data modernization and migration, and Zero Trust security, continuously strengthening your AI and security acumen. Compliance – Generate and protect Microsoft trust by living Microsoft’s values, culture, and Trust Code in every decision. Industry Knowledge – Apply deep telecommunications expertise - across network cloudification, 5G, OSS/BSS, and the monetization of connectivity and data - to shape an AI strategy aligned to business outcomes and challenge customers’ assumptions with constructive dialogue about their business and technology. Anticipate telecommunications market trends and disruptors, applying industry insight to help our customers accelerate achieving their goals.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 14+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience. 5+ years experience in digital transformation or using technology to drive customer business outcomes. 4+ years experience in business consulting, consultative selling, or change management. 5+ years experience leading technical, support, and/or partner teams.

Strategic Account Technology IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $128,000 - CAD $222,400 per year.
