Business Systems Analyst / QA (Data & Automation) Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst / QA (Data & Automation) with deep expertise in data analysis, QA automation, and the US retirement domain. This role is critical in driving data migration, validation, and AI-powered QA initiatives, supporting transitions such as Informatica to Databricks within a modern data platform ecosystem. As part of the US Retirement Technology team, you will partner with Business Operations, Data Engineering, and QA teams to deliver transformation initiatives and improve system efficiency, data quality, and automation maturity. Key Responsibilities Business & Systems Analysis Lead end-to-end analysis from requirements gathering through delivery. Translate business needs into Epics, Features, and User Stories. Conduct stakeholder workshops and review sessions to validate and gain approval of requirements. Research, document, and analyze workflow processes and system issues. Identify improvement opportunities and drive process optimization initiatives. Data Analysis & Migration Perform data analysis, extraction, mapping, reconciliation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Drive data migration and transformation initiatives (e.g., Informatica → Databricks). Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Wranglers to structure and optimize large datasets. Support data quality practices and data governance alignment. QA & Automation Support QA, UAT, and release cycles, including defect triage and tracking. Contribute to and enhance QA automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress). Develop and execute test plans and validation strategies for system implementations. Leverage AI-driven QA techniques such as: Intelligent test generation Anomaly detection Automated validation Collaboration & Delivery Work cross-functionally with Data Engineering, QA, Business Stakeholders, and Operations teams. Coordinate process changes, system enhancements, and product implementations. Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders. Build relationships across teams and influence decisions to drive successful delivery. Required Skills & Experience 5–6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Business Analyst / QA Analyst Strong expertise in: Data analysis, data migration, and data validation Large-scale data ecosystems Hands-on experience with: Informatica, Databricks, or similar data platforms Experience with QA automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) Exposure to AI-driven QA or intelligent test automation Strong knowledge of US Retirement / Pension / Financial Products domain Proficiency in: SQL Data mapping tools Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools Experience working with enterprise-level systems and applications Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments Exposure to Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) Knowledge of: Data governance and data quality frameworks Automation frameworks and modern testing practices Familiarity with organizational product offerings and service models The role being advertised is an existing vacancy. Referenced Salary Location Toronto, Ontario Working Arrangement Hybrid Salary range is expected to be between $86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CAD Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
