Architecture, Strategy, and Employee Digital & Automation (ASEDA) is a diverse team in Global Functions Technology managing a wide range of products and developing emerging tech like generative AI to bring the best suite of applications to the enterprise. The Planning Director is responsible for leading ASEDA’s Planning Team and ensuring that all operational needs are seen to with efficiency, precision, and in alignment with departmental standards. This role is the spearhead of our operational strategy, guiding the team in all operational facets (Finance, HR, Project Control, etc) and exerting impact and influence at multiple levels in the organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Proactively analyze reporting to provide advice and counsel to ASEDA and GFT Executives and SMT to enhance their ability to manage finances and headcount, and respond appropriately to related queries.
- Install and remediate financial processes and reporting with a focus of adding business value balanced with meeting the needs of ASEDA stakeholders.
- Act as a change agent charged with process improvement for App Dev, Maintenance, and App Other finances across ASEDA
- Take ownership of accrual processes, management reporting and planning/forecasting process
- Oversee project initiatives, ensuring projects follow established standards including delivery life cycle methods and audit requirements
- Set the direction and help build capability in the Planning Team
- Promote innovative or improved methods to get work done and implement best practices and efficiencies
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Excellent understanding of financial concepts
- Ability to analyze data effectively and reconcile numbers from multiple source systems
- Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to provide stakeholders with interpretation and counsel on all operational fronts.
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented capability; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice-to-have :
- Knowledge of RBC platforms used in operations (Planview/MIS, eDHR, Apptio, etc)
- Experience with executive conversations and presentations
- Previous People Management experience
