Your tasks

As a Strategic Procurement Analyst, you will play a key role in the daily analysis of supply chain performance, supporting planning activities and integrating new products. You will act as an intermediary between purchasing and manufacturing and actively contribute to the smooth flow of new designs from a procurement perspective.

Summary Of Tasks

Strategic procurement

Develop and improve procurement processes based on current practices, taking into account environmental constraints Monitor manufacturing resource planning (MRP) proposals, inventory coverage, shortages, and planning anomalies to ensure the efficiency of procurement processes Participate in the development of procurement strategies for critical components or new designs Anticipate potential procurement issues for different products and components

Operations

Analyze and release purchase proposals. Process intercompany manufacturing group orders. Manage the workload for mechanical assembly according to the schedule. Audit and complete data for new parts on demand Create requests for procurement and projected manufacturing for projects Identify and alert to procurement risks or deviations from demand Follow up on emergencies with the departments involved Support buyers and planners in their daily tasks

Performance and optimization

Produce analyses on inventory health (write-offs, turnover, overstock, etc.) Participate in inventory reconciliation as needed Participate in the development of performance indicators for strategic procurement activities Maximize the use of existing technologies and implement additional tools as necessary Continuously evaluate and improve strategic procurement processes to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency

Communication and collaboration

Collaborate with planning, purchasing, manufacturing, and centers of expertise at the parent company and other North American sites Work with parent company to coordinate and optimize the procurement of common components Communicate regularly with operations management on risks and potential issues associated with strategic procurement

Other

Perform tasks in accordance with the company's code of ethics Comply with occupational health and safety standards and regulations All other related tasks

Your profile

Education And Qualifications

Post-secondary education in supply chain management, planning, engineering, or a related technical field 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment

Skills And Experience

Experience with new product introductions (an asset) Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) software Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written Advanced computer skills in Excel Knowledge of IFS software (an asset) Good understanding of MRP principles, bills of materials, and logistics parameters Excellent understanding of production and planning processes Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is limited standardization Analytical and synthesis skills Ability to work collaboratively and easily communicate information to various stakeholders High degree of autonomy and rigor in managing files Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to prioritize and handle multiple files simultaneously Comfortable working with tight deadlines

Other

Willingness to travel on short business trips to North America and Europe on very rare occasions Valid passport without restrictions
