He or she contributes to the success of corporate initiatives by ensuring rigorous needs analysis, value-based prioritization, and ongoing alignment between business objectives, projects, and delivered solutions. This role is carried out in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders, where the analyst is expected to contribute to large-scale projects, transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.The Senior IT Business Analyst contributes to demand management, business case development, impact analysis, definition of success criteria, and solution adoption. He or she also supports the alignment of initiatives with portfolio priorities and organizational capacity.Through leadership, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence without formal authority, the individual acts as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders and contributes to the evolution of business analysis practices within the PMO.Primary Responsibilities Business Analysis and Initiative ScopingGather, analyze, and structure business needs from stakeholders (executives, managers, subject matter experts)Document high-level and detailed requirements (functional and non-functional) in a clear, structured, and value-driven mannerAnalyze existing business processes and identify pain points, gaps, and improvement opportunitiesTranslate business needs into actionable requirements for delivery teams (functional, technical, testing)PMO Contribution and Demand ManagementCollaborate with the PMO on demand management, initiative qualification, and prioritizationContribute to the development of business cases (costs, benefits, risks, impacts)Support project managers in defining scope, deliverables, and success criteriaHelp align initiatives with portfolio priorities and organizational capacityDelivery, Impact, and AdoptionAct as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external partnersAssess the impact of changes on processes, operations, and usersContribute to change management, training, and solution adoption activitiesLeadership and Business Analysis PracticesAct as a trusted advisor to senior and executive stakeholdersProvide mentorship and support to less experienced business analysts, as neededPromote best practices in business analysis, requirements management, and process improvementDesired Skills and CompetenciesExperience and ExpertiseSignificant experience in transformation environments, enterprise systems, or large-scale IT initiativesExperience within professional services and multi-sector organizationsExperience developing opportunity assessments, feasibility studies, or business cases (cost-benefit analyses, business cases)Strong experience in requirements documentation and process improvementExcellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skillsExperience with ERP systems and enterprise solutionsExperience in structured PMO or multi-project environments is considered an (Atlassian, Service Desk) or equivalent tools is an assetKnowledge of BPMN 2.0 process documentation standards is an asseQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in business analysis, ideally within structured project environments (PMO)Demonstrated experience in organizational transformation or large-scale IT initiativesExperience in multi-project or matrix environmentsBilingual in English and French (spoken and written): bilingualism is an essential requirement for this role, as it enables effective collaboration with our diverse stakeholdersCertification in business analysis such as Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®) or Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) is considered an assetKnowledge of the engineering industry is considered an assetExperience with structured tools or frameworks for
