Accountabilities

The Software Engineer, AI Platform will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure and platform capabilities that support intelligent applications. The role requires strong ownership, technical problem-solving, and close collaboration with engineering and business teams to deliver reliable AI solutions.

Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation workflows that support AI-powered applications. Develop custom connectors and integrations between internal platforms, services, and external APIs. Build and operate enterprise knowledge systems, including similarity search solutions, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines supporting RAG and agent-based applications. Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of AI automation and workflow systems. Implement monitoring solutions, including observability, logging, alerting, and business metrics to track system health and optimize performance. Contribute to platform tooling using traditional software development approaches and workflow automation technologies. Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code supported by testing practices and technical documentation. Support the continuous improvement of AI platform capabilities through experimentation, iteration, and engineering best practices. Communicate technical solutions clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a software engineer with experience building production-grade systems and an interest in applying modern AI technologies to real-world applications. You should have strong backend development skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to balance rapid innovation with long-term system reliability.

2+ years of professional software engineering experience. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or C#. Experience designing, developing, and operating production-grade services, integrations, or automation systems. Solid understanding of modern AI system concepts, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and LLM-based tools. Practical experience with vector databases, similarity search, and retrieval optimization techniques. Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture patterns. Strong understanding of backend testing, observability, scalability, and performance optimization. Familiarity with low-code/no-code automation platforms or willingness to learn new automation technologies. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment while maintaining quality and maintainability. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both engineering and business teams.
