ABOUT CANEIL

CANEIL is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Specialist on either a full-time permanent basis or a one-year contract to support pipeline integrity work in the oil and gas sector.

POSITION SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be based in the client’s office in Grande Prairie, with travel to various field locations in the area as required.

The role is focused exclusively on pipeline systems, with minimal involvement in facility work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct pipeline integrity evaluations, assessments, and technical reviews, including corrosion-rate modelling. Support the implementation of integrity management plans, including ILI analysis, dig-program planning, repair recommendations, corrosion programs, and field risk management. Coordinate with field and engineering teams for the planning and execution of integrity activities. Review inspection reports, monitor pipeline conditions, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and safety standards. Prepare technical documentation and clearly communicate findings to internal stakeholders. Travel to field sites as required to support ongoing integrity-program activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of five years of experience in pipeline integrity within the oil and gas industry. Familiarity with upstream processes and applicable industry codes and standards, including CSA, API, ABSA, and TSASK requirements. Strong communication, coordination, and technical-reporting skills. Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel. Ability to reliably commute to Grande Prairie or relocate before starting work. Legally eligible to work in Canada.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certifications or training related to pipeline integrity, asset integrity, or engineering. Experience working in both field and office environments. Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, defect assessments, and repair methodologies.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The expected salary range for full-time permanent employment is starting at $90,000 per year, based on the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall suitability for the role. Contract compensation will be determined separately based on experience and the agreed contract arrangement.
