About the role
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Supply Chain Optimization Specialist on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team.
This position is a hybrid opportunity and can be based in either Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, or Winnipeg .
FCL is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Optimization Specialist who combines technical expertise with a passion for continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll help modernize warehouse operations through data-driven insights, system optimization, and scalable process standardization.
What you’ll do:
- Drive process optimization by assessing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements grounded in lean and continuous improvement principles.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on Warehouse Management System (WMS) configuration and operational readiness by analyzing system settings, supporting documentation, and participating in testing activities.
- Contribute to go-live planning and issue resolution by delivering system insights and assessing operational impacts across cross-functional teams.
- Perform advanced modelling, capacity analysis, and labour/volume scenario planning to support operational decisions and implementation efforts.
- Validate assumptions, document inputs, and deliver clear, data-driven insights to inform optimization and operations leadership.
- Support implementation readiness by providing technical and workflow input to ensure smooth integration into distribution centre operations.
- Evaluate automation and emerging warehouse technologies, contributing to requirements, operational fit assessments, and pilot deployments to inform decision-making.
- Act as a key integrator between Supply Chain Integration, Technology, and Distribution Centre Operations by aligning operational needs with system capabilities and enterprise initiatives. Translate requirements into technical documentation and facilitate structured problem-solving to ensure consistent adoption of standards and best practices across all sites.
Who you’ll work with:
The Collaborators: You will collaborate with site teams and Industrial Engineers during optimization and implementation activities, and will report into the Senior Manager, Distribution Centre Optimization.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:
- Have 3-6 years of progressive experience in warehousing and/or supply chain operations. As well as experience configuring warehouse systems, supporting process improvement projects, or working with data analytics tools.
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business or an
- equivalent combination of education and directly related experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Experience configuring warehouse systems, supporting process improvement projects, or working with data analytics tools is considered an asset.
- Training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma or business process improvement is considered an asset. Experience with Warehouse technology, RF systems, and material handling equipment is considered an asset.
