This role can be based out of any of our IDC WIN offices across Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

JOB STATEMENT: We are looking for a Senior Manager, Business Optimization to help IDC WIN improve how work gets done across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, this role will work closely with operations and cross-functional teams to map current processes, identify pain points, document business and functional requirements, and support practical improvements that enable growth, scalability, operational efficiency, and a better advisor and employee experience. This role will also support key business enablement initiatives by identifying manual processes, reporting needs, workflow gaps, and opportunities that could be simplified, automated, or enabled through improved data, reporting, and technology solutions. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably between business analysis and process improvement - facilitating conversations with leaders and subject matter experts, understanding how work happens today, translating business needs into clear requirements, and helping design better ways of working.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Mapping and documenting current-state business processes across key functional areas; Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand process pain points, manual workarounds, reporting gaps, data needs, and opportunities for automation or simplification; Identifying processes and reporting activities that could be standardized, streamlined, automated, or supported through enhanced business systems, workflow tools, or reporting capabilities; Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements for business enablement initiatives, including process, reporting, workflow, data, and system-related improvements; Translating operational needs into clear requirements, user stories, process flows, decision points, and acceptance criteria; Supporting the design of future-state workflows, reporting requirements, business rules, roles, handoffs, and controls; Partnering with data, technology, operations, compliance, sales, and advisor experience teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to business priorities; Establishing baseline metrics where possible, including volumes, cycle times, service levels, rework, manual effort, and reporting effort; Facilitating workshops and working sessions with leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams; and Helping identify quick wins and longer-term improvement opportunities that support scale, efficiency, and advisor experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, transformation, operational excellence, or a related role. Strong process mapping and business requirements documentation skills. Ability to identify root causes, simplify complexity, and translate business problems into practical solutions. Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and engage stakeholders at different levels. Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills. Comfort working in ambiguity and helping shape structure where processes are evolving. Experience working on technology or data-related initiatives Ability to balance detail orientation with strategic thinking. Experience in insurance, wealth management, financial services, or distribution businesses. Experience supporting CRM, workflow, data, reporting, or back-office system initiatives. Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or operational excellence methodologies. Experience supporting organizational transformation or operating model redesign.

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience; $85,000 to $100,000
