Senior Project Manager Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Pay Rate: Up to $49.00/hour Employment Type: Contract with potential for permanent conversion Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3-4 days per week in office) First 1-2 months require 5 days per week onsite Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset About the Opportunity Our client, a leading organization within the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Product team. This role serves as a critical connection point across multiple strategic initiatives, ensuring work progresses efficiently, dependencies are managed, and stakeholders remain aligned across internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing complex projects involving multiple workstreams, cross-functional collaboration, and product launch coordination. You are comfortable operating independently, bringing well-informed recommendations to leadership while successfully navigating competing priorities and evolving business needs. Key Responsibilities Cross-Functional Project Coordination Act as the primary project coordination lead for initiatives involving external partners and integrated solutions. Build strong working relationships with project managers and stakeholders across various business groups. Align timelines, priorities, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple teams. Facilitate discussions to resolve conflicts, address competing priorities, and maintain project momentum. Ensure downstream requirements and dependencies are identified, documented, and successfully delivered. Internal Delivery Management Coordinate project activities from initiation through completion. Track deliverables, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements across involved teams. Maintain visibility into project priorities and sequencing to ensure alignment across concurrent initiatives. Plan and facilitate key project events, workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder meetings. Support intake management and prioritization for incoming project requests. Product Launch & Go-to-Market Execution Develop and maintain project plans supporting product launches and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with business, product, operations, support, and enablement teams to build achievable launch timelines. Lead governance meetings, establish agendas, document decisions, and drive accountability for action items. Coordinate readiness activities across stakeholders to ensure successful launches and user adoption. Identify launch risks, resource constraints, and timeline conflicts before they impact delivery. Risk & Issue Management Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers. Develop mitigation strategies and provide practical recommendations to leadership. Support decision-making by providing analysis, context, and project impacts. Escalate issues appropriately while ensuring leadership has the information needed to make informed decisions. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Project Management, or a related discipline. PMP certification or equivalent project management designation. 7-10+ years of project management experience within financial services, fintech, banking, or another regulated environment. Proven success managing multiple concurrent initiatives across cross-functional teams. Strong experience creating and maintaining project plans, status reporting, risk logs, and governance documentation. Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders and executives. Experience supporting change management, product delivery, and launch readiness initiatives. Preferred Bilingual (English/French). Experience working within product delivery, digital transformation, or complex enterprise environments.
