The base salary will be $66,350 - $94,700 per annum. Starting salary will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated qualifications.

About Us

The Office of the Registrar (OOR) fosters a culture of student service excellence and is a key contributor to the overall student experience at Western, from the initial point of contact with prospective students through to graduation and beyond. Communications within the OOR plays a central role in supporting this experience by delivering clear, timely, and effective communications that guide students through key academic and administrative milestones.

Responsibilities

The CRM Specialist (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) will support and elevate the Office of the Registrar’s use of Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to plan, build, execute and optimize personalized, data-driven marketing journeys that support recruitment, conversion, and engagement of prospective and admitted students. The Specialist will create efficiencies and increased return on investment (ROI) through journey configuration, audience segmentation, reporting and insights, email and SMS execution, email design, and the use of personalized and dynamic content within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The Specialist partners on data integrity with Western partners, including Admissions, Recruitment and the Web Team. The CRM Specialist (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) will be the functional expert in optimization and best practices for Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or College Diploma in a related field combined with 3 years Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (such as Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator) completed or in progress are preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable enterprise marketing automation platform, including journey building, data connectors, automation, and audience segmentation
  • Experience in marketing, technology, and/or consulting
  • Development experience using HTML/CSS
  • Experience working in a role involving Salesforce and Marketing Software preferred
  • Experience with data migration and integration knowledge preferred

  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to complete detailed analytics and reports and interact with technical and non-technical users
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate information into easily understood terms, summarize information and to write clear and concise procedural documentation
  • Ability and willingness to stay abreast of technological developments
  • Possesses a reputation for resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
  • Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities

  • Ability to interact professionally with students, staff, faculty, and other members of the University community
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Higher Education
  • Demonstrated ability to distill business needs into CRM and marketing automation system design across marketing and recruitment systems
  • Advanced understanding of marketing automation
  • Understanding of database concepts, data management and segmentation best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to architect, build and execute complex marketing automations and related reporting & analytics
  • Team leadership experience managing resources responsible for marketing automation projects
