Role Description The Pricing Specialist is a full-time hybrid role, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining competitive pricing for transportation and logistics services, including preparing quotes, rate proposals, and cost analyses for new and existing customers. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing market trends, carrier rates, and internal cost structures to support profitable pricing decisions, and collaborating with sales, operations, and finance teams to align pricing with business goals. The Pricing Specialist will respond to pricing inquiries, support RFPs and bids, update pricing tools and databases, and provide clear communication of pricing models and assumptions to internal stakeholders and customers. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including data analysis, cost modeling, and attention to detail in evaluating pricing scenarios. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to clearly present pricing recommendations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and respond to customer and internal inquiries. Candidates should possess foundational logistics skills, such as understanding margins, cost structures, and profitability drivers in a logistics environment. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle pricing requests professionally, support account managers, and contribute to a positive customer experience. Candidates should possess Sales-related skills, including supporting proposal development, understanding customer needs, and aligning pricing strategies with commercial objectives. Relevant qualifications include experience in logistics, transportation, or freight pricing; proficiency with spreadsheets and pricing tools; and familiarity with North American transportation markets. Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field is an asset, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
