About the role

UX Designer IV Location: Toronto, ON

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 4 days in office

Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 months from start date (with potential for extension; conversion to permanent possible) Pay Rate: C$76.00–C$91.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Travel Requirements: Not required

Key Responsibilities Transform complex problems into elegant experiences Ideation, concept development, and experience innovation Creation of sketches, wireframes, specifications, prototypes, scenarios, and storyboards Close collaboration with development teams to ensure that design intent is achieved Advocate for the user throughout the project lifecycle Stay abreast of current design methodologies, practices, and trends Participation in observational studies, usability testing, and other customer research Effective communication of conceptual ideas, detailed designs, and design approaches/rationales


Required Skills Figma — 5 years of experience Experience presenting design work to non-design stakeholders (product, business SMEs, etc.) Comfort navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and stakeholder feedback without over-indexing on consensus Ability to take direction, synthesize feedback, and iterate quickly Strong organizational skills (documentation, versioning, decision tracking) Experience translating business problems into design opportunities, not just executing handed-off requirements Understanding of how digital experiences support banking value chains (e.g., acquisition → engagement → advice → retention) Using research, analytics, heuristics, or prior learnings to inform decisions AI tools — Figma, Figma AI, Claude design Ability to work with and simplify complicated flows Ability to translate conceptual ideas into compelling customer experiences Contributes to shaping the strategic experience design approach for projects and initiatives Strong prototyping skills demonstrated through various techniques: sketch, paper, wireframe, video, or interactive prototypes Proficiency with Figma Understanding of web and mobile technologies Meticulous attention to detail Organization, logic, and analytical skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to ask good questions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to communicate ideas to a diverse audience and constructively integrate feedback Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well in a team environment

Education Requirements A degree in design or a design-related discipline (industrial design, user-centred design, visual design, design strategy, design management, human factors, psychology, human-computer interaction, etc.)


Required Experience 7 to 10 years' experience as a UX designer
