Position Summary

At Nestlé Canada, we are looking for a Lean Flow Optimization Manager to drive end-to-end optimization of our logistics network across transportation and warehousing.

This role plays a critical part in improving cost efficiency, operational performance, and sustainability by leveraging Lean methodologies and advanced analytics. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that optimize product flow from source to destination while enabling smarter decision-making across the supply chain. Note: this is an existing position.

A day in the life of a Lean Flow Optimization Manager:

Network Optimization & Strategy

  • Drive optimization of domestic and international transportation and warehousing flows
  • Identify and implement initiatives to reduce cost-to-serve while maintaining service levels
  • Support short- and long-term logistics strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of end-to-end supply chain flows

Lean & Continuous Improvement

  • Apply Lean methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, flow mapping, waste reduction) to optimize processes
  • Lead initiatives focused on eliminating inefficiencies and improving operational performance
  • Utilize structured change management approaches (e.g., Kotter model) to drive adoption
  • Promote best practices across logistics and supply chain teams

Project Management

  • Lead and support strategic logistics projects aligned with the Supply Chain roadmap
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and track project progress
  • Develop presentations, dashboards, and reporting to communicate progress and insights
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects from design through execution readiness

Analytics & Performance Insights

  • Analyze transportation and warehousing data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop and track KPIs related to cost, cube utilization, transit time, and service levels
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to influence business and supply chain decisions
  • Support sustainability initiatives through CO₂ tracking and efficiency improvements

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Procurement, and external partners
  • Influence decision-making through strong analytics and cost-to-serve insights
  • Collaborate with third-party carriers and warehouse providers to optimize performance

What will make you successful?

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, or Supply Chain
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is an asset
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain operations
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations
  • Experience in distribution network design, transportation optimization, or warehousing
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in cost analysis and performance reporting
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks

Compensation Range: $90,000 – $110,000 CAD + Bonus eligibility
