Role: Adobe CDP Architect
Location: REMOTE (PST)
We are seeking an experienced Adobe CDP Architect to lead a customer data and journey transformation program for a Canadian Utility client. This role will be responsible for driving journey mapping workshops, translating business outcomes into Adobe Real-Time CDP architecture, and guiding the end-to-end implementation of Adobe’s data and activation stack. The architect will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring customer journeys are insight driven, privacy compliant, and operationalized through Adobe CDP and downstream activation platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Journey Mapping & Business Discovery
- Lead journey mapping workshops with cross-functional utility stakeholders (Customer Care, Marketing, Digital, Operations, IT, Data, Privacy).
- Identify priority customer journeys (e.g., onboarding, outage communications, billing, self-service, energy programs).
- Translate journey stages into data, identity, and activation requirements.
- Define customer use cases, success metrics, and KPIs aligned to utility regulatory and customer experience goals.
- Adobe CDP Architecture & Design
- Own the solution architecture for Adobe Real-Time CDP, including: o Profile schema design o Identity namespace strategy o Data ingestion (batch, streaming, API) o Data governance and consent modeling
- Design scalable customer profiles that unify online, offline, operational, and third party data.
- Define segment and audience strategy aligned to mapped journeys.
- Ensure alignment with Adobe Experience Platform best practices.
- Implementation Leadership
- Guide and oversee the hands-on implementation of Adobe CDP with delivery teams.
- Partner with Adobe Journey Optimizer, Analytics, and downstream activation platforms as applicable.
- Provide architectural direction for: o Data sources (CRM, CIS, Billing, OMS, AMI, Web/Mobile, Call Center) o Data quality and enrichment o Real-time and batch activation use cases
- Support testing, validation, and go live readiness.
- Data Governance, Privacy & Compliance
- Ensure privacy-by-design implementation aligned with: o Canadian regulations (PIPEDA, provincial utility regulations) o Consent management and data usage labeling within Adobe CDP
- Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to establish: o Data access rules o Retention policies o Consent enforcement in downstream activations
- Stakeholder & Program Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams.
- Contribute to roadmap development, MVP sequencing, and value realization planning.
- Support knowledge transfer, enablement, and long term operating model design. Required Qualifications Core Skills & Experience
- 7–10+ years in Customer Data, Martech, or Digital Architecture roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Real-Time CDP.
- Strong experience with journey mapping and customer experience design in enterprise environments.
- Proven experience designing and deploying unified customer profiles at scale.
- Strong understanding of identity resolution, schema design, and data modeling. Adobe Experience Platform Expertise

- Experience in Utilities, Energy, Telco, or regulated industries strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with customer information systems (CIS), billing platforms, call center data, and IoT/AMI data is a plus. Consulting & Leadership
- Strong facilitation skills for executive and working level sessions.
- Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Comfortable working in multi-vendor, matrixed delivery environments. Nice-to-Have
