Ready to be part of the action? Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to act as the primary bridge between our Billing & Equity Analytics squad and business stakeholders. You will work within a cross-functional environment to translate complex financial requirements into actionable technical tasks. Your goal is to ensure our billing systems are accurate and our analytics platforms provide high-value insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of the Equities and Derivatives landscape and is a seasoned practitioner of Agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Lead the discovery process to capture business needs. Produce high-quality BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FRDs (Functional Requirement Documents), and detailed Business Specifications. Agile Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog by writing clear, concise User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Ceremony Facilitation: On a need-to-need basis should be able to run Act as a servant-leader by running Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Stakeholder Demos. Data & Analytics: Collaborate with the analytics team to build and refine dashboards in Tableau or AWS QuickSight, ensuring data accuracy for equity reporting. Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations across diverse teams, ensuring that the "Billing" logic aligns with "Analytics" outputs. Basic Data Validation: Use SQL to perform basic data lookups, verify billing records, and troubleshoot data discrepancies (beginner-level queries). Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 5–6 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a fast-paced fintech or banking environment. Proven ability to write structured BRDs and FRDs that developers can execute with minimal ambiguity. Experience with Jira/Confluence and the ability to lead a team through a full sprint cycle. Technical Familiarity: Comfortable working with Cloud-based applications and data visualization tools (Tableau or AWS QuickSight) integrate with financial data lakes Basic SQL proficiency (SELECT, JOIN, WHERE) for data verification Quality Assurance & Testing: Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to ensure Billing logic is accurate and Analytics dashboards meet business needs. Perform Functional Testing on new features before they reach the stakeholders. Identify, document, and track software defects (bugs) in Jira, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical demos to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Attributes Financial Domain Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Equities and Derivatives (trade lifecycles, billing structures, or market data) is a significant advantage. Working in an Agile environment Familiarity with Jira & Confluence Scrum Master experience nice to have Past familiarity or hands on Python experience is nice to have Certification in Agile (CSPO/CSM) or Business Analysis (CBAP). Salary Range: 105,000/year - 115,000/year CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only.
