To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you'll be doing As a Senior Business Operations Analyst within CIBC Asset Management, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to operational excellence, fund valuation, and oversight. You'll design, build, and maintain a robust reporting infrastructure that transforms complex data into actionable insights. You'll drive the creation of scorecards, dashboards, and metrics to showcase departmental performance, identify workflow bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Your analytical skills will be leveraged to summarize operational activities in executive-level presentations and support strategic decision-making. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you'll work closely with internal stakeholders to understand processes and deliver impactful results. The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $66,090 to $85,550. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles. In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program. How you'll succeed Reporting & Data Visualization – Develop and maintain PowerPoint presentations, Excel models, Power BI dashboards, and scorecards to monitor and communicate departmental performance. Infrastructure Design – Lead the design and implementation of a scalable reporting infrastructure, ensuring timely and accurate updates of established metrics. Data Integrity – Analyze, validate, and cleanse operational data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Process Optimization – Design process mapping documentation to support workflow optimization and transparency. Executive Communication – Summarize complex operational activities and results in concise, executive-ready formats. Collaboration & Partnership – Work closely with team members and internal stakeholders to facilitate information sharing and process improvements. Who you are You have an undergraduate degree in Business, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. You’re highly analytical. You excel at transforming raw data into actionable insights and meaningful metrics that drive decision-making. Ability to identify trends, explain complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders, and summarize findings succinctly. You’re detail oriented. You consistently deliver accurate and reliable reports, ensuring high data integrity. You’re a self-starter. You take initiative and drive projects forward independently with a solution-oriented mindset. You’re a strong communicator. You can distill complex information into clear, impactful presentations for executive audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare effective, executive-ready reports and presentations. You have relevant experience. Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and dashboarding tools (Power BI required). You bring 1–4 years of relevant experience in financial services, ideally within an asset management firm or consulting environment. Some experience in metric design, KPI development, and performance tracking. Familiarity with operational practices and systems across asset classes is an asset You’re collaborative.
