Role Description The Pharmacy Operations Innovation Lead is a remote contract role focused on designing, testing, and refining medication workflow models that leverage SecureRx’s vision intelligence platform. In this role, the individual will collaborate with pharmacy leaders and frontline teams to map current workflows, identify optimization opportunities, and structure new oversight models that maintain clinical rigor while improving efficiency. The person will translate operational needs into practical pilot designs, define measurable outcomes, and guide implementation across diverse pharmacy settings, including central fill, specialty, and patient-direct fulfillment. Day-to-day activities include conducting stakeholder interviews, documenting processes, analyzing performance data, and creating clear operational playbooks and recommendations for leadership. The role also involves partnering with SecureRx’s product and customer success teams to ensure workflow designs are technically feasible, align with regulatory requirements, and can be scaled across multiple organizations. Qualifications PharmD required. Minimum 5+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, pharmacy management, pharmacy technology, healthcare SaaS, health IT, digital transformation, workflow optimization, medication operations, or a related pharmacy environment. Strong understanding of how pharmacies operate, including medication workflows, dispensing processes, staffing realities, documentation needs, operational bottlenecks, and regulated workflow environments. Working knowledge of modern healthcare technology, including cloud platforms, AI, automation, APIs, data systems, workflow software, or healthcare software infrastructure. Ability to connect pharmacy operational needs with practical technology solutions. Comfort working with pharmacy, healthcare, technical, and commercial stakeholders. Experience supporting technology adoption, implementation, product feedback, process improvement, or workflow optimization in pharmacy or healthcare settings. Strong communication skills and ability to explain operational and technical ideas clearly. Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-moving startup environment.
