We are hiring an experienced, self-motivated Supply Chain Specialist to support purchasing, inventory planning, and supplier coordination in a lean manufacturing environment. This role will use ERP/MRP systems to maintain material availability, improve lead times, and support production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Purchasing & Procurement Manage purchase orders and the procurement cycle in the ERP system. Plan material purchases based on production schedules and inventory needs. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for cost, quality, and reliability. Follow up on deliveries and resolve supplier or logistics issues.

  2. ERP & Data Management Maintain accurate item, vendor, and purchasing data in the ERP system. Review purchasing data and KPIs to reduce costs and improve supply chain performance. Support invoice matching, PO reconciliation, and cost tracking with Finance. Prepare and provide weekly reports.

  3. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination Coordinate with production, engineering, and inventory teams to ensure material availability. Identify and help resolve supply risks, shortages, and overstock concerns. Perform hands-on cycle counts and physical inventory checks as needed.

  4. Cross-functional Collaboration Work with Engineering and Production on BOM changes, material requirements, and priorities. Participate in planning meetings to align procurement with operational needs. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Skills & Qualifications:

College or university degree/diploma in a related field. 3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing ERP environment. Experience with MRP, production scheduling, and supplier negotiations. Working knowledge of ERP systems such as ECI M1, SAP, MS Dynamics GP, NetSuite, Epicor, Sage, or similar. Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills. Experience with supply chain analytics is an asset.
