About The Role

The Business Analyst at The Home Depot Canada plays a vital role in enhancing our digital platforms, including our website, mobile app, and retail channels. This position involves gathering and documenting detailed information related to website and mobile application enhancements, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. As a key point of contact for website-related development projects, the Business Analyst collaborates closely with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging web-based technologies to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. The role supports strategic business initiatives by analyzing current processes, recommending improvements, and assisting in the development and testing of new systems or features. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecommerce technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Qualifications

University or college degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in product, project, or change management Proficiency with agile and waterfall methodologies Technical knowledge of ecommerce platforms and web development Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent documentation and communication skills, including Business Requirements Documents, use case development, and business process diagramming Experience with data analysis tools such as Firebase, Google Analytics, Tableau, or Adobe (asset) Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Visio or similar diagramming software Ability to operate under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Bilingual in French and English is an asset Certifications such as CSPO are a plus

Responsibilities

Define and document customer business functions and processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements through information systems or operational changes Collaborate with internal and external teams to gather, define, and document business needs, operational procedures, problems, and system requirements Act as a liaison between end users, technical analysts, IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure project success and system performance Analyze the feasibility of new systems and enhancements, ensuring they meet user needs and business objectives Track and document changes for functional and business specifications and develop comprehensive procedures for end-user training Collect, analyze, and report data using industry research and analytics tools to support decision-making processes Participate in testing activities, including test case development and user acceptance testing, to ensure system functionality aligns with requirements Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for new system modules or updates Support project lifecycle stages from initiation through deployment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
