The BRP Corporate Strategy & Development team is looking for a motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills to join the ranks of its highly skilled professionals.
As a member of the team, you will support the Management Committee.

In this rewarding role, you will be expected to participate in the following activities:

  • Strategic planning: Annual cycle during which BRP’s main orientations and strategies are set, validated and recalibrated. The team oversees this process and provides the Management Committee with analyses and advice on added value.
  • Strategic management: The team provides extended governance support by issuing reports on a monthly and quarterly basis intended for all levels of the company, but particularly members of management and the board of directors.
  • Business development: The team oversees and/or supports the company’s primary strategic initiatives. These initiatives are generally related to the future of the company and encompass all aspects of business development, identification of takeover targets and improvements to the business model.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: M&A activities are determined by our strategic plans. These activities are generally intended to increase the competitiveness and/or revenue of the company in related areas. The team performs all activities, including identifying and valuating target companies, as well as overseeing all stages of due diligence, from negotiation to integration.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Three to five years of relevant experience in management consulting, merchant banking, industrial manufacturing, motorsports, business development, mergers & acquisitions or management.
  • CFA or MBA, master’s degree in finance or engineering from a world-renowned university an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in English and French; knowledge of a third language an asset.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Excel and PowerPoint) and Think-cell.


YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic thinking: Identifying issues and understanding the impact of variables on the company’s goals. Devising a strategy and articulating an action plan to enable the company to achieve its long‑term goals.
  • Communication, influence and persuasion: Presenting information in a clear and comprehensible manner in order to promote new ideas and persuade interlocutors to consider a range of options.
  • Proactivity: Anticipating events/opportunities and taking action without waiting for instructions or a formal request.
  • Sense of innovation: Encouraging innovation within the team and the company. Considering various potential strategies not only for the company’s products and services, but also its overall activities and business processes.
  • Project management and change management: Estimating the length of activities, appreciating risks and building a project plan. Overseeing activities that are critical to a project’s advancement and identifying alternative courses of action as needed. Identifying all stakeholders for a particular project to keep them updated on a project’s progress and work with them to realign priorities.
  • Best practices: Advising, guiding and coaching less experienced team members by discussing ways to manage potential and actual risks and sharing your knowledge and experience.
  • Team work and commitment: Demonstrating flexibility in the way you lead your team and make decisions to effectively manage various situations. Pursuing goals with perseverance and resilience in the face of obstacles and setbacks.


As a member of the BRP Corporate Strategy & Development team, the candidate must clearly demonstrate a capacity to think in a structured way, see things from a variety of angles, be a great team player, work on tight deadlines and manage short, but intense, periods of stress.

The incumbent will work primarily out of the Montréal office and will have regular meetings at the BRP head office in Valcourt. Some travel may be required as part of your duties.
